Tuesday, March 29, 2011 God IS in control. Many times we sail through life and things could never be brighter when suddenly out of nowhere, the storm clouds gather, thunders begin, lightning flashes and we find ourself in a fierce circumstances that we never expected. It's only natural we cry out "Lord,SAVE ME!STILL THE STORM!" but in my experience God rarely answers my prayer request. Rarely its God's will to deliver us out of the storm BUT what He does promises is to walk WITH us through the storm until we reach the other side. You see God is much more interested in what is happening in you than is happening to you. He is allowing you to go through that storm to produce that valueble quality call FAITH ; The assurance that God is in control even when we can't see Him. If God just answered every time we ask Him for something...where is the faith? In the Bible it clearly states you cannot please God WITHOUT faith. Do you really believe in the sovereignty of God? What will it take to cause you to doubt God's sovereignty? The loss of financial security? Unfaithfulness of a love one? Terminal illness? Death of a love one? It's easy to say you trust God 100% when rainbows and ponies are flying in your life so to speak but we rarely to never say we trust God when the storms come in our life. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace." You will never understand the sovereignty of God until you understand that His timetable is NOT our timetable, His way is NOT our way and His thoughts are NOT our thoughts. He is wiser than all of us, trust me on that one. The key point to understand is God knows the end result, He knows what we can get out of this so call "trial" and lets be honest that's what really scares us that we go through something painful without getting anything in return. If I told you I would give you $1000000000000000000000000000000000000 if you get an A in your most hated subject, I think you'd rather go through the pain of studying to get the reward cause you know the reward is there to be won. However there are some things that causes us to doubt God's sovereignty isn't there. Yeah we know God is in control but there is just this thing at the back of our head or in our heart that is preventing us from trusting God 100%. You see unlike the world which tells us if it doesn't have evidence to back it up it is surely wrong, God is sovereign contrary to what the evidence says. One great injustice in the world is why do bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people? Well I solemnly tell you,you and me will face God FACE TO FACEwhether its during judgment day or when we die but all of us will face God and be held accountable to all our sins. There will be a judgement, no one is excepted from it. So if your planning to pile sin on top of another sin one by one cause you think there is no consequence, think again my friend. Enjoy temporal joy and suffer eternal agony in hell or temporal pain and suffering but eternal joy in Heaven? You pick. Rated R Loser at 4:16 AM
